Finding Your Purpose

Finding your purpose is more than just a dream. Rather, it is indeed achievable because experiencing the life of purpose and fulfillment is your divine right as a child of God. However, too many people fall short of realizing their life’s purpose. When you are living in your purpose, you live a healthier, happier, and more fulfilled life. Therefore, we are here to help guide you through the process of determining your life’s assignment.

Remember that God has created each of us with a specific purpose in mind. You will not be at peace until you are walking in God’s purpose for your life. A study concludes that having a sense of purpose results in fewer heart attacks and strokes, better sleep and overall better mental health.

Are you interested in finding your life’s purpose? Below are some ways to help you begin the process of deciphering your life’s purpose:

  1. Explore the things you love

What do you enjoy doing for leisure? What are your natural gifts, talents, and skills? What are you passionate about? Once you have had the opportunity to ponder these things, you can then brainstorm how you can convert your gifts, talents and passion into something meaningful and profitable for you and your family.

  • Begin conversations with others

It is very simple to surf social media while you are alone waiting to meet friends at a restaurant or coffee shop. Try to resist the urge to remain silent. Rather, use the opportunity to take the time to chat with the individuals around you.

We understand that starting a conversation with strangers might feel awkward at first. You can commence the conversation by asking them about the things they enjoy doing for fun or if they are working on any special projects. Engaging others outside of your social network could open your eyes to career opportunities and social activities that you had not previously considered.

  • Surround yourself with optimistic individuals

Have you inquired about the things you have in common with those who you associate with? We are not talking about your family or your co-workers who you don’t get to choose. Who are your friends? Have you ever asked yourself about the things you have in common with the individuals whom you interact with? “It is said, show me your friends and I will tell you who you are”. It is important that you hang out with those who have a common future and not a common past.

It is a fact of life that you become like those with whom you closely associate for the good and the bad.
